With the help of the app Trap, researchers can conduct user research remotely, and users who choose not to participate in research can be paid for their participation.
Because it gives the problem a designer is attempting to address more specificity, user research is an essential phase in the UX process. Most UXers, however, have ignored and skipped this stage due to a lack of better, more effective research platforms.
Trap offers all the tools required for UX researchers to conduct research and receive sufficient feedback in a timely manner. Do you want to conduct a video interview as part of your research? you nailed it! You can rely on Trap if you wish to test the card sorting method with your topic.
I was responsible for all the five design stages because it was handled as a personal project. I Went through the ideation stage down to the implementation and testing.
I also:
Came up with a design strategy
Carried out user research and surveys
Created user personas
Empathy Map creations
Drawing out the user flow and the information architecture
Created the wireframes
Visual design and user experience design
At this stage I researched to discover the users I’m designing for, their pain points and carried out research for precision.
I carried out a qualitative research on over 12 experienced designers and their response gave me in depth knowledge of why these designers at times doesn’t go deep during the research phase. Some questions asked were:
How many User projects have you done?
Did you carry out User research for any of the project?
What method of research do you prefer the most?
Do you spend on Research?
Did you reward participants or your research subjects?
What do yo feel about insincere responses from subjects?
What’s your say about remote research?
Shortly describe your worst experience in any research you’ve carried out?
After several responses gotten from respondents, I deduced facts and insights based on the responses.
